And now that several of them are under $1K (and a lot of the smaller models under $500), I am at least looking at purchasing an HD set. Of course, the inability of the local networks and/or my cable provider to consistently provide letterboxed versions of their 16:9 formatted programs is nudging me in that direction as well.
As for a 3-D television, unless the four-letter network's 3-D content catches on, this seems like a niche market for the foreseeable future.
