If I may beg to differ, I thought it was a great ep. Not for the
writing, which maintained its usual low standard, but for the way
Barkley handled the sketches. I can count the number I've times I've
even smiled at SNL this season on the fingers of one hand, but there
were three or four times I laughed out loud at last night's ep --
especially the film game show, Armisen's Gov. Patterson (it's cheap
and obvious, but I love it), the bank commercial, the Haney Project,
and the "scared straight" sketch. Kenan is money in the bank for me,
not for his talent, but his utter commitment to sell every sketch, no
matter how bad the writing is, and Barkley followed along, playing
everything for full value.

Wiig, on the other hand, maintained her status as the most baffling
mystery in show business.
