For all intents and purposes, C-Ferg (whose show is produced by
Letterman's company) is Dave's heir at 11:35 - and will buff off the
edges if necessary. The difference between Kilby and Ferguson in
talent and genuine charm and what they used to call TVQ is profound.
So, after the Kilborn blip, "The Late Show" found its next host,
barring some unexpected weirdness.
