The main Canadian networks - CBC, CTV, Global, Citytv, and a few of the cable channels - just aired a complementary / competing "Canada for Haiti" telethon just before the Clooney one (which they're also airing) co-hosted by the main entertainment/talk-show hosts on the big three networks.
I say "competing" because they went to great lengths at the end of the show to emphasize that only the Canadian phone number will generate Canadian tax receipts and matching funds from the federal government - but they apparently can't interfere with the display of the U.S. telethon's number (which also works in Canada).
