Right - good question. Fewer people (about 8.8 million fewer) watched the 5
broadcast networks last night than usual (well, than the previous Friday
night). This looks to be a decrease in total viewership by about 1/3.

>From data provided by the TV By The Numbers folks, last Friday the 5
broadcast networks they track (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX & CW) had an average total
viewership of 24.8M viewers in each half hour between 8:00 and 10:00, Last
night, the Hope for Haiti had a total average viewership of 16M per half
hour block in that period.

Now I guess we would like to know how many more people watched one of the
many cable (or PBS) stations that aired the telethon.
