Now, admittedly, O'Brien could have reached out to Leno, but also chose not to. However, their situations were markedly different, and I cannot, for the life of me, think if any reason why it would have been inappropriate for Leno to talk to O'Brien. Leno is certainly not being the bigger man by taking a job that he'd surrendered, but he could have at least been enough of a man to speak to the guy he was ousting and make some attempt at an explanation, like, "Hey, I've been with my staff for nearly two decades and NBC is giving me an opportunity to preserve their jobs..." or something. For him to take the job but not talk to O'Brien about it is like when Leno took the job the first time and didn't talk to Letterman about it. -- Kevin M. (RPCV) -- TV or Not TV ....
