The Today Show did a piece this morning on the work of Scientologists in Haiti. The piece included high praise from a Catholic doctor.
Scientologists are providing comfort to victims with some weird touching techniques. A subtle PR campaign? That, too. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Timko Sent: Wednesday, February 03, 2010 2:32 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [TV orNotTV] John Travolta's "my church" comments on Letterman In his latest appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," John Travolta twice referred to "my church" in talking about helping Haitian earthquake victims. I dunno, but this seems like a subtle PR campaign to me to make Scientology seem more mainstream. Anyone else get that feeling? By the way, I don't mean to denigrate any Scientology efforts. A dehydrated child is helped just as much by 16 ounces of Scientology-produced water as by 16 ounces of water from the Catholic Church or the Salvation Army. -- TV or Not TV ....
