FWIW, I spoke with my 84-year-old mother earlier this evening. She brought up the topic of Jay returning to The Tonight Show. She is really looking forward to it. She asked me what Conan is now doing and repeated what she's told me before -- that she really doesn't like him. So much for my hoping she would make a permanent switch to Letterman.
