They did on both coasts. The ceremony continued until 11:00 Eastern, but NBC cut it off at 10:30, and packaged the last half-hour as a "Closing Party", and put it on at 11:30, after the late local news, seemed to stretch it out to an hour.
It seems oddly appropriate, to me, that NBC couldn't even stand to air the whole closing ceremony live.
