The executive director of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts has not
apologized for not including Corey Haim in the Acadamy Awards' "In
Memorium" montage — but says it wasn't an oversight.

"There's nothing you can say to people, particularly to family
members, that helps at all," executive director Bruce Davis did not
tell People. "They tend to be surprised and hurt, and we understand
that and we're sorry for it. But the fact is, he wasn't dead yet."
