In 1994 or 1995, Jay did three or four shows where he wore a
turtleneck, jeans, and a suit jacket. One night he was sitting at his
desk, about to introduce his first guest, when he saw himself in the
studio monitor and cracked, "I look like Robert Wagner on 'It Takes A
Thief'!" He never wore the turtleneck again.
