. I see by Variety that Undercover Boss was at the top of the Sunday ratings this week, a sure sign that it's going to be back for another season.
If you've seen the show, you'll notice that to get the "boss" close to the riff-raff without tipping them off that he's the founder / CEO of the company or whatever ... the producers tell the workers that the undercover boss is just a guy being videotaped for a documentary on people trying temporary jobs or entry-level jobs or something similar. When they start shooting a new season (if they're not already) how are they going to get away with this ? At least a few among the worker bees will have see the show now, and any new-hire showing up with a tag-along camera crew will be instantly suspect. I've already noticed some footage that smelled a little funny. One guy recalling his past employment history said he was fired "from a cellular phone company." I'm pretty sure most people would have said "I got fired from Verizon" or "ATT canned me" or "Cingular fired my ass" or whoever. Anyway, what ruse can they possibly use now that the cat's out of the bag that the big suit is coming. . .. ... .... ..... ...... -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
