It was "The Half-Hour News Hour," and the one episode I saw was just spectacularly unfunny because it was simply not funny. There are times I disagree with the politics of The Daily Show, but it's still just damn funny. THNNH wasn't even that
I do believe there are people within FNC who really want it to be a legitimate news organization. The problem is that they are so in the minority that their voices are drowned out by those who just can't understand why people wouldn't make the logical leap between the US and Russia signing a nuclear pact and running video of an atomic bomb exploding. The problem is that the line of "news" versus "opinion" is effectively down to Smith's program when Smith is actually anchoring versus everything else.
