OK. A semantic debate. Clive Anderson was THE host of "Whose Line Is
It Anyway?" in the UK, and the original host of the US version, before
being replaced by Drew Carey.

One of the few show tapings I attended before working in the industry
was the Anderson hosted Comedy Central version of the series. I
remember most of what had the audience laughing never made it to air
because it was deemed too offensive. They had a producer from the UK
who, whenever things got too crude, would storm onto the middle of the
set and say something to the comics like, "You know we can't use any
of this," at which point we in the audience would shout "boo."
