We will know before the June 7th return to air whether the show has been canceled or not - this looks like one of the closer calls of the season for all 4 networks. Here is what the tvbythenumbers guys say: *"Lie To Me<http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/03/09/fox-summer-schedule-includes-hells-kitchen-lie-to-me-past-life-and-so-you-think-you-can-dance/44387>i<http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/03/09/fox-summer-schedule-includes-hells-kitchen-lie-to-me-past-life-and-so-you-think-you-can-dance/44387> *s off Fox’s schedule until June 7<http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/03/09/fox-summer-schedule-includes-hells-kitchen-lie-to-me-past-life-and-so-you-think-you-can-dance/44387>, so no more ratings data for it before renewal or cancellation time (potentially as late as May 17<http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/03/19/when-will-you-know-if-your-favorite-show-is-canceled-or-renewed/45555>). I think it could go either way. A lot depends on whether Fox puts a three hour/week reality show (like SYTYCD or something else) into its fall schedule. A 3 hour reality block on the schedule next fall would almost certainly spell doom for *Lie To Me."* Earlier in the year they were saying that they thought either Fringe or Lie to Me would get renewed, and now they are pretty sure Fringe is getting canceled - but they are also less sure Lie to Me will get renewed even if Fringe does get canceled. I would like to see Lie To Me stay on, and it seems like a good candidate for NBC to pounce on to fill one of its holes if Fox pulls the plug (but I am not sure how those things work). By the way, they also are pessimistic about Human Factor returning. I don't think I have seen any chatter about this show here - I have to admit that I kind of like it, though I suspect I am in the minority here. You have to accept it for what it is. But for what it is, I think it is more consistent than something like Heroes has been. ** * * -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
