The thing is, just a few weeks ago I called her while watching 24 because of a terrorist group that was about to blow up a car bomb on the upper west side of Manhattan, about 20 blocks from her apartment. She said her and her boyfriend were in the middle of a heated argument about whether the ethical and human sacrifice being required to prevent the explosion was worth it (given that they felt like there were in the blast zone). I have to say my usual liberal position on such things took a hit when I contemplated my daughter being a target. But then, that is why we don't let the father's of daughters under attack determine the proper response to such things. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
