This officially brings to a close "Jay Leno Experiment", with NBC officially admitting that it was a failure. The idea of arbitrage programming, trying to make a profit by putting on low budget, unscripted shows that get low ratings but still sell more advertising revenue than they cost to produce seems to have been abandoned. The TVBYTHENUMBERS guys predicted that even without the Leno Show NBC would still have close to the same number of unscripted programming next year, but from what I can tell the only new unscripted shows are: "Who Do You Think You Are" (which I guess is not new, though I don't recognize it) which is sharing a time period with something called "School Pride". Biggest Loser and just one hour of Dateline are back (and maybe Apprentice will be back after football season?). I think NBC did the right thing in dumping L&O and Heroes (I would like to see an original L&O movie or two in the next couple of years). Time to move on. Wasn't there supposed to be a Rockford remake on NBC? I think they are better off without it too. The articles says Parks is being delayed so they can give a new sitcom a chance, but I wonder if that also helps with the Pohler pregnancy, which I guess they are not going to work into the show. -- TV or Not TV ....
