What is currently called "Willie," Tribune Broadcasting's new talk show starring Cincy radio teabagger Bill Cunningham and from the man who turned "Jerry Springer" from a Donahue manque to a three-ring circus, gets a test run next week on Chicago flagship WGN (but not on WGN America) and Trib-owned stations in Cunningham's home town, New Orleans, Seattle, Dallas, Houston and Indianapolis--the 4 shows will run in various time slots (in Chicago, it pre-empts a late-night second run of "Povich's Paternity Program," after considering replacing one of the runs of the lame duck "Tyra" from The CW):
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/towerticker/2010/07/wgns-cunningham-tv-airdates-set.html To pound home the fact that this is not "Charlie Rose," the working title for the test shows was "Big Willie," until cooler heads prevailed. Five test shows were taped in Chicago at WGN, but only four will air because guests on the fifth one are suing the Tribune Co. for abusive treatment and egging on the studio audience for more abusive treatment. -- TV or Not TV ....
