This has been going on for a few weeks now... maybe a month. Hulu
viewers used to have to suffer through a single 30 second commercial
between segments. Not a bad deal, all things considered. But now the
commercial breaks are anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes long. At this
point, I have to ask why the broadcast networks don't simply stream
live. They can more effectively track viewers. They can eliminate the
affiliate middlemen. They could eventually even eliminate cable
companies and deal directly with ISPs.
