We have been over this before, but I feel duty bound to defend my guys. Kruk
and Kype are not exactly the kind of broadcasters I was brought up on,
because they are (especially Kruk) such homers. But Kruk has gotten a lot
better in this regard that he was his first few years, and even when they
both wear their hearts on their sleeve, most of the time it does not stop
them from either criticizing the Giants when they make bad mistakes, or from
acknowledging that a close call should have gone against the Giants. If you
are not a Giants fans I can see how it would be annoying, but I have grown
to appreciate and get a kick out of their act. I would defend the depth of
Krukow's analysis also - it is not uncommon for analysts working for Fox or
ESPN to quote Krukow (with or without attribution), and not just on local
knowledge of the Giants, but on pitching in general. I think that suggests
that his analysis has some value.

What the article really gets wrong though is the the claim that the Giant's
broadcasters should be singled out for keeping the focus on the field. My
biggest criticism of them is that too often (less than they used to) they
will get side tracked by a kid eating ice cream in the stands, and talk
about it ad nauseum to the exclusion of what is happening on the field.
