That really about sums him up. He was editor of a tabloid newspaper
over here - the Daily Mirror (think NY Post, although it's not Murdoch
owned) - but that all went sour when he published some faked photos of
Iraqi prisoners being abused.

I really don't understand his alleged popularity. He presents various
programmes on ITV with titles like Piers Morgan on... Dubai which are
vacuous. And of course he's on Britain's Got Talent. He's also had a
series on one on one interviews with celebs of the calibre of Sharon
Osborne.

As I mentioned before, I rather hope that his CNN gig will deprive us
Brits of him, and let a vaguely talented interviewer get a gig. CNN
International only runs Larry King Live "live" which tends to mean
about 2am, so he'll completely disappear off my radar!
