Well, you have Gmail, too. I was ticked long ago about my inbox having too much mailing list stuff, so I just created a folder that automatically sends all the TV or Not TV messages there. That way, everything is nicely threaded and I'm able to join in the conversation immediately.
I don't think most people subscribe via digest, though I've not the data to back that up. I don't think it's the best format for the list, but that's completely up to personal preference.
