Another potential problem is that I would expect, depending on what they charge a subscriber fee, that PBS and the cable systems could have a fight over service tiers, with PBS demanding basic coverage and the cable companies wanting to stick them on Expanded Basic or even more expensive tiers. Although PBS might accept Expanded Basic, which is the tier I assume most people take because it has ESPN, CNN, USA, TNT/TBS, MTV, etc., cable could still argue not enough mass appeal for Expanded Basic. -- TV or Not TV ....
