It'll have to get out of Chapter 11 first, but it's rumored (by the
Trib-owned LA Times) that Michael Eisner, the man who dragged Disney
kicking and screaming into the 80s (and made more enemies later), is
in line to replace Chicago real estate developer Sam Zell as Tribune
Co. chairman, with Comcast cable network chief Jeff Shell to replace
Randy Michaels as CEO (a move that will probably bring cheers at the
Tribune Tower and elsewhere, especially if Shell gets rid of WGN Radio
Chicago PD Kevin "Pig Virus" Metheny, who seems to be turning the
legendary "Good Neighbor" news-talker into a pro forma right-wing talk
