I've found that nothing really removes sweat stains from baseball caps, sadly. Although I've found that the better quality fitted caps (like the NewEra 5950 field caps) don't retain sweat and/or don't stain. I wore my Yankees cap to Old Timer's Day last month (95 degrees in the shade - and there wasn't much shade), and the thing was soaked afterward - but it didn't stain.
