At this point, I expect to hear the cries of those who bemoaned the absence of "The Wire" from the Emmys as saying that the reason Mills was left off was because he was associated with "The Wire." (And in case you didn't notice, there was only one nomination in the major drama categories for "Treme" last night--direction, by maker of subtitled art house movies that only critics like Angeniza Holland-- and I know I screwed up the spelling.) Meanwhile, in Fallon's musical intros to each main segment last night, Amy Poehler helped intro the comedy segment, Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, D.F.A., did the same for the variety segment and Tom Hanks just sat there and had Fallon sing to him for the movie/mini-series segment. Who were Fallon's partners in the reality and drama intros (and it bothers me that I should recognize both of them, but I didn't)? -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
