I think the author is mildly off on the key point: The people who remember who these actors are are increasingly out of the target age range. That being said, there was an H&R Block ad that featured Kate Micucci, whom I know of from the comedy music duo Garfunkel & Oates. I shouted out, "It's Oates!" when I saw this.
