"My Boys" has been hurt by Jim Gaffigan's departure--he was the most dependable laugh-getter on the show. Honestly, I think the last episode provided enough closure to be a satisfying ending (even though they were setting up new plot points with the guys taking over the bar and the marriage to Rachael Harris). It ran its course (even if 13-ep cable seasons aren't enough for Sony to put it in syndication--perhaps they should've cast it with African-American actors and told TBS that they'd make 100 episodes in two years). As for "The Big C," it's not there yet, but I have rooting interest because of the involvement of Jenny Bicks of dear departed "Men in Trees." Linney's always wonderful and I enjoy her scenes with Gaby Sidoube a lot (not to mention the up yours to Howard Stern, who proclaimed that Sidoube had no future career after "Precious"). -- TV or Not TV ....
