I'm a fan of his work, too, but his trend towards becoming one of the drugged up caricatures he used to write about concerns me. I'm hoping he doesn't fall too far downhill. Unlike Mewes, he has a family to take into consideration. He has a fanbase provided he sticks within certain parameters. Assuming "Red State" ever gets made, it seems doubtful all of his fans will flock to see it. People can be married by whomever they choose (I am also ordained by the ULC -- go to http://www.ulc.org and so can you -- for free). But if Kevin Smith wants to liken he and his Smodcastle to the chapel in Vegas with the Elvis impersonator/minister, it may lessen his ability to be taken seriously in the industry. -- Kevin M.
