CBS-owned stations were under the gun to plug the "Hawaii 5-0" remake, complete with anchors wearing leis, weather reporters giving the forecast for Honolulu and, in Chicago at WBBM, even recently reunited symbols of quality TV journalism Bill Kurtis and Walter Jacobson sucked in (and Jacobson supposedly complained frequently at his last station, Fox-owned WFLD, about the corporate-ordered "Idol" plugs on station newscasts):
