I see Kelley as having a possible third way approach - the first way
is to bring comic book stories into the series directly. It's a sort
of naive approach where there's no real character development and
there can be no depth so the villains will have to be cartoonish. The
second approach is the ironic take with over-the-top situations done
with a wink to the audience. Kelley's strength is that he can create a
slightly skewed world on his shows and Wonder Woman could fit in. It
wouldn't be an earnest naive approach and it wouldn't be played for
laughs or irony either.
