Among other things, he admits to Forbes' Jeff Bercovici that his radio
background clashed with the print employees at Tribune Co. and claims
that he did make editorial decisions for the papers, was part of
downsizing and that he was not part of Randy Michaels' frathouse gang
(in fact, he states that he never worked for Clear Channel--and it's
true that he had gotten out of radio consulting by the time CC had
become a power in the industry):
