The PBS late-night host tapes his show at KCET and is ticked that no one told him that the station is dropping PBS affiliation on Jan. 1 until it was announced in the press:
http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-tavis-20101123,0,4313919.story Smiley has a history of contention with pubcasters, considering that he left NPR accusing the net of not promoting his show--however, his show will move to new primary PBS station in LA KOCE on Jan. 1 and (because he doesn't have too much choice) he'll continue to tape his show at KCET. And oh look, a racist comment from someone who has a brief against talk shows (even though Smiley's show is an interview program, not a desk-and-sofa-monologue-band talk show) and calls Conan "ugly." On the way to getting there, the Google AdSense box shows a "Defund NPR" ad sponsored by townhall.com, which is owned by religious/right-wing talk radio station owner Salem Communications.
