As Marc Maron has frequently pointed out in his podcast, there is
something about the Ben Stiller Show and Mr Show, inasmuch as they
have truly inspired the new breed of comics. For better or worse,
those shows are really the generational divide between what was
counter-culture and what is now alt' comedy.

Personally, I'd much rather watch Larry Sanders or Action, but I like
Stiller's show and Mr Show, too.
