The former Chicago Sun-Times media columnist, who had been blogging for Chi NPR station WBEZ's Vocalo site for a year (and doing a lot of raking over the coals of Sam Zell, Randy Michaels and their Tribune Co. cohorts, particularly at WGN Radio) and left last month over dissatisfaction of moving his blog (and several other blogs) to WBEZ's site, will be back in business at the site of the Chicago branch of the worldwide chain of city listings mags as of Jan. 3:
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/towerticker/2010/12/robert-feder-moving-media-blog-to-time-out-chicago.html TOC's most consistent media coverage until now was mostly television reviews from critic Margaret Lyons--when she moved to NY in 2008 (she's now a writer for EW), TOC dropped the "Time In" section from the mag (and moved video reviews to the Film section), although the blog has frequent TV recommendations. Feder isn't the only WBEZ blogger to end an association with the station: Punk Planet co-founder Anne Elizabeth Moore ended her "Revision Street America" blog, an attempt to do an updated version of Studs Terkel's conversations with ordinary people, last week over seeming differences with WBEZ. -- TV or Not TV ....
