The faster paced Antiques Roadshow on-the-go is fun to watch, but it
is missing the part where somebody buys the item or appraises it. Of
all of the items they found in the first episode (free on iTunes), I
think they only appraised two or three. And after all the hoopla
surrounding the carnival ride, they (mild spoiler alert) end the
episode not by showing viewers how it works, but by showing viewers
how it is cleaned? TV is a visual medium, and they ignored that.
Viewers have a visceral need for a wrap-up, and they ignored that. Fix
those issues and the show might be worth watching.
