Admittedly, I haven't seen the new movie and probably won't for some time. But aside from the light cycles (which every boy wanted at the time, and which were the only redeeming aspects of Disney's Peoplemover), I recall the rest of the original movie was slow, cliche, over-acted, and quintessentially '80s. At some point, don't we as a society have to raise our collective hands and ask why everything needs to get remade? In 20 years' time, will we see a motion picture version of "Meego"? A live action Spongebob? Will there be conventions for fans of "According to Jim"? Where does the madness end? -- Kevin M. (RPCV) -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
