OK... the Discovery Channel... a channel theoretically dedicated to
learning... had planned to produce a show wherein they reenacted
Michael Jackson's autopsy... they just announced they aren't going to
air it, but who thought it was a good idea to produce the thing in the
first place?

Honestly, doesn't a series called "Celebrity Autopsies" sound like
something William Shatner would host/narrate? And that should be a
rule-of-thumb: If you can picture William Shatner in the series, don't
produce the series.
