Veteran football and basketball play-by-player Ron Franklin and
reporter Jeannine Edwards, assigned to a lesser bowl game on telly and
a later BCS bowl on radio, were at a production meeting for the
telecast game with fellow b'casters and staff when Edwards tried to
jump into a conversation about the wife of one of the other men...
Franklin's choice of words for his colleague didn't sit well with her,
so he called her something a little more pointed... he was replaced
for the radio game...

Franklin previously called out another sideliner, Holly Rowe, for
something said on-air:
