Jim Packard is retiring from Wisconsin Public Radio after 30 years, 25 of those years being (among other things) Michael Feldman's announcer and foil on "Whad'ya Know?" Although Feldman's not guaranteeing a job, if you think you could be Packard's replacement, you have a week to submit an audio or video recording of yourself to WPR headquarters in Madison--one winner will be selected to appear on the Jan. 29 live broadcast:
http://www.notmuch.com/Features/Being_Jim_Contest.htm We do note that the rules state that Feldman and WPR reserve the right to not give anyone the prize if no one meets their--ahen--high standards, although I don't think that means that they'll welch on Packard's retirement. -- TV or Not TV ....
