Well, those people who used to complain that Siskel and Ebert were too mainstream won't have that complaint now, although I haven't read enough of the guy to see is he is a contrarian in the mold of Jonathan Rosenbaum, the longtime Chicago Reader critic known for his hatred of successful Jews in the film industry like Spielberg, Woody Allen and Harvey Weinstein (although his supporters would always quickly say that it wasn't a jealousy thing, he just thought Spielberg was a commercial hack, Allen a hack and Weinstein a guy who hacked up foreign-language films and bolstered hacks like Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino) who was loved by his fans and hated by those with more mainstream tastes. -- TV or Not TV ....
