Although an independent study by a DC law firm stated that Ellen Weiss did nothing illegal or unethical by firing Juan Williams over statements made on his Fox News Channel moonlighting gigs, she has resigned after almost 30 years with the net--the inquiry recommended that NPR review its policies on outside activities to try to make them clearer and consistent:
