I read this article late last night and knew the writer had missed the point, but it took me until this morning to figure out the point. Google TV is intended to defeat the DVR. The best use of Google TV would be to have a group of people watch their TVs simultaneously and make comments amongst themselves, using Facebook, Twitter, etc., while watching. The simple way to make that work is to have everyone watch while the show is being broadcast live. And if people continue the comment feed into the commercials, that helps to counter channel surfing. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
