Nobody expects them to admit it, but MTV got into the child porn
business a long time ago. Britney was either 16 or 17 when she started
skanking around in music videos on the network, and that is just an
obvious example.

For that matter, I have friends with kids who maintain the sitcoms
produced on the Disney Channel exploit the bodies of teenage girls,
throwing that Cyrus girl or the Gomez chick in tight-fitting and
revealing outfits and having them parade around.

We have a double standard when it comes to girls. We allow the media
to objectify them and hold them up as an unattainable ideal, but we
put guys in jail for touching them. The reverse scenario, however --
when a Mrs. Robinson type seduces a young boy -- is considered more
acceptable, if not cool. Consider the video for the song "Stacy's
Mom," for example.
