Unlimited data includes downloading and using the free TuneIn Radio app for Android. http://amzn.to/hBgIUW I was able to buy the LG Optimus V for $150 at Radio Shack, although it is so popular the price seems to have shot up. I use TuneIn to listen to my local AM radio station as well as ABC Hobart, the radio station in Tasmania near where my niece lives. You could set up the TuneIn icon on the front of the Android and put in presets for some of her favorite kind of radio stations. I think you'd have to use either headphones or powered speakers. I would do this only if you're close enough to a Sprint cell phone ower. You can go to Virgin Mobile USA and look at a coverage map that shows how close you are to a tower.
