The NFP entity that owns Orlando's primary PBS and NPR stations WMFE- TV and WMFE-FM, blaming rising programming fees from PBS and falling contributions (which in a story on their web site they blame in part on pledge drives now going after channel-surfers instead of their core audience), is selling the TV station, with the buyer seemingly being, for $3M, a front group for the Bible-thumpers Daystar, who tried to take over LA's now-primary PBS affil KOCE a few years ago when the Coast Community College District in Orange County wanted to sell the station (an NFP foundation outbid Daystar but gave them one of KOCE's digital subchannels), which will probably mean no more PBS on channel 24 in Orlando:
