On the premium channels, it's a common thing to follow the premiere
ratings press release the next day with the renewal notice press
release, but HBO, still looking for a series flagship since "The
Sopranos" and "Sex and the City" ended (and although "True Blood"
comes real close, it's still no "Sopranos"), tells EW that unless the
numbers really, really stink, their expensive new fantasy drama "Game
of Thrones" is very likely to get a second season and that they've
already told the showrunners to think about a second season storyline:
