Sorry. Just another Friends rip-off, including the pilot. Doesn't anyone
remember that Friends began with Rachel's aborted wedding?

Nothing new or original there. Oh, yeah. One of the six is black and
another is gay. That's enough to differentiate it from Friends? (Which got
a lot of criticism in its day for having no black characters; it did have a
gay one in the form of Ross's ex-wife).

Easy to skip, in other words, you won't miss anything.

BTW you left out "Mr. Sunshine" -- which had its moments, meaning a few
flashes of originality.

Insofar as I have a rooting interest in what sitcoms make the fall
schedule (and actually read every sitcom pilot script in one network's
development slate), I went into this with a chip on my shoulder.
(Damning-with-faint-praise alert!) I found it much better and funnier
than "Mad Love" (despite my misguided love of Sarah Chalke and
righteous love of Judy Greer). Watched both eps, back to back, and
thought it had great promise. Not quite HIMYM, but less stagey and
broad. Outlook: Promising.
