Because of course there were a lot of people waiting on the edge of their seat for this. This seems like a promising situation for KO - the main danger is he might veer into total Amy Goodman mode and start nightly ranting about East Timor in the 1970s, or in some other way get so detached from the requirements to serve a critical audience mass that he just talks to himself. What he calls editorial freedom can not be the same thing as freedom from editing, and needs a strong producer working with him. He is exactly right that balancing a lie with every truth is not fairness, or real journalism. I doubt I will watch this show nightly, but I may watch it more often then I did on MSNBC, if only to see if he can move beyond get stuck in a reactionary cartoon fight with the bozos, and just report meaningful stories. -- TV or Not TV ....
