I'll agree to some extent about the band's soullessness - the singer
in particular seems to be going through the motions every time he
opens his mouth. A few weeks ago they did a bit which involved the
singer doing a parody-lyric version of Cee Lo Green's "F*** You," and
the bit flopped - in part because the singer barely seemed to be
trying.

But the thing I like about Minor's band is that they're not
repetitive. Unlike all the other late night bands, Eubanks' band
played the same material over and over and over and over. Minor's band
keeps trying new things, and it makes me less likely to tune out when
the band starts playing.

I recorded the show but haven't seen it yet. But based on the clips
I've seen so far, all I'll say is, I'm glad to know that she still
does the trick for somebody. Me, I think she crossed the line from
cutie to skank years ago.
